About Kimberly

Kimberly Chan Min Jane is an award-winning Malaysian vocalist, musical theatre actor, and emerging young artist whose exceptional talent has earned international recognition across some of the world’s most prestigious music competitions. With a voice celebrated for its expressive warmth, technical finesse, and emotional depth, Kimberly has established herself as one of Malaysia’s brightest young performing artists, captivating audiences through both concert performances and musical theatre.

Kimberly began her musical journey at the age of seven, inspired by her love of singing and nurtured through the guidance of her father, musician Andrew Chan. Through years of training and performance, she has developed into a versatile performer whose repertoire spans musical theatre, contemporary vocal works, and popular music.

In 2026, Kimberly rose to international prominence after winning 15 awards in global vocal competitions within just two months, an extraordinary achievement that attracted widespread media attention. Her accolades include the Platinum Prize and Distinctive Interpretation Award at the New York Music Award 2026, a Gold Prize in Musical Theatre, and numerous top honours from leading international competitions.

A defining milestone in her artistic journey came when she became the only Malaysian First Prize winner at the International Music Competition Berlin (Grand Prize Virtuoso). This achievement earned her an invitation to perform at the renowned Kammermusiksaal of the Berlin Philharmonie, where she represented Malaysia on one of Europe’s most respected concert stages.

Building on that success, Kimberly was subsequently named First Prize Winner in the New York Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition for her powerful rendition of “Defying Gravity.” In recognition of this achievement, she has been invited to make her New York debut at the legendary Carnegie Hall in December 2026, where she will perform the award-winning piece. The invitation marks another significant milestone in her rapidly growing international career, taking her from the Berlin Philharmonie to one of the world’s most iconic concert halls.

Alongside her achievements as a vocalist, Kimberly has established herself as a gifted musical theatre performer, taking on leading and principal roles in four major productions. Her stage credits include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Summer Hathaway in School of Rock, Miss Honey in Matilda The Musical JR., and, most recently, Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family. Her portrayal of Summer Hathaway earned her a nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, making her the youngest nominee in the category. Across these productions, Kimberly has demonstrated exceptional versatility, combining strong acting, vocal performance, and stage presence well beyond her years.

Kimberly remains committed to representing Malaysia with distinction as she continues to embrace new opportunities on the international stage. From the concert halls of Berlin to the stage of Carnegie Hall, Kimberly’s journey is a testament to perseverance, passion, and the transformative power of music. Her story reflects not only remarkable achievement at a young age but also a steadfast belief that dedication and artistry can turn dreams into reality.
